FAMILY DAY of September 2, 2007
 

The kids and our dogs - a real Symbiosis....

Again, our Family Day can be classified as a complete success - The weather was beautiful with summer-like temperatures and our President could welcome a record number of participants

 More than 80 persons and 40 dogs were romping about the magnificent terrain of the Kynologischen Verein Fricktal and were spoiled by the excellent kitchen team of the KVF which offered its delicious food and friendliness, however not before the "work" was done.

This year a course was preparedby which a team had to guide their dogs correctly through an obstacle and of course time was of essence -only after a pair dog/owner was back, the next pair could start, - of course, this entailed quite some funny occurences.

First of all, obviously, the instructions had to be listened to
by the owner as well                                         as the dog

Each time two teams start at the same moment with the first obstacle and running the distance of the course - as soon as the entire team has completed the task, it starts with the next obstacle etc. That team, that is faster and has coped with all the obstances better qualifies for the final round -
The obstacles: Marching over ondulated cardboard; creeping underneath a chair; "Sit" on a box; through the tunnel; running the distance with socks put on; through the "bag" and jump over balloons - all in all rather demanding for our friends on four paws as well as their owners!

Who is more proud of the obstacle just overcome - the four-month old Conti-Baby or its owner?

exchange of experiences, a delicious lunch and, and, and...

The taks of the final round: Balanceing two cups filled to the rim with water through a slalom with the dog on the lead - the team which brings back the highest quantity of water is the victor -

since all three teams brought back almost exactly the same quantity of water. the lot had to decide!
however, at the distribution of the prizes each participant received a bag of cookies
